Shaving Cream Selections

After we got back from our vacation to Canada I was nothing short of hungover.  On the Sunday after our return I was no better than I had been after my days in college where “trash can punch” was the main course of the night.

I stayed in bed until somewhere around 1 p.m. while Tim fed the kids (and me) and even when my eyes were open it was like a scene from The Walking Dead.  Except I wasn’t walking.

Tim even grocery shopped, meal-planned and cooked for three of our first days back while I was practically comatose.

I think part of the problem was that it gets dark SO late way up North.  Like 11 p.m. late.  And my body had been high on adrenalin for most of the trip and I simply crashed.

So when Monday night came around and I actually felt like going to get some exercise and work off the food tiramisu cheesecake, Timbits galore, ice cream, s’mores, hamburgers WITH the bun I ate on vacation I felt good and another trip to the grocery store was needed.

While on the treadmill Tim texted me with a short list of things needed from the store.  The last one was “shaving cream”.

At first I questioned who needed shaving cream, me or him.  And then I realized I had run out before vacation and how would he know that?  Oh, I believe I mentioned it to him but did he remember?  Oh well, I’ll get us both shaving cream. DUH.

So I get to the “shaving needs” aisle at the grocery store and quickly grab the one I want for me. Then I look down on the bottom shelf where the orange cans of “Hydra Gel” for men are placed and I freeze.

Hydra Gel cooling
Hydra Gel moisturizing
Hydra Gel ultra sensitive
Hydra Gel maybe you just need a chick shaving cream

Okay, just kidding on that last one.

Anyway, I had no idea which HG to purchase.  I could make a case for any of them really.  It is crazy hot out so who wouldn’t want to cool off their face?  He could use extra moisture, that’s like lotion added, right?  Also, he can be very sensitive at times.  “Ultra sensitive”, not so sure.

So, I did what any rational 38-year old woman would do.  I closed my eyes and pointed.

Moisturizing it is!

Now on to the peanut butter..  Who wants honey added? Crunchy?

p.s. my husband usually purchases his shaving gel himself in bulk at the big box store. This is why I’m not sure which one he uses.  Plus sometimes he has the silver and blue can and well, I am not even gonna go there…

p.p.s. I did make it to BlogHer this year, at the last minute and will post about it once I have collected both my thoughts and all my pictures… 😉
