Super Easy Valentine Art

I have a little bit of left-over scrapbooking paper.  And when I say a “little bit” I actually a whole heck of a lot.

And yet I still buy more. (Please don’t tell my husband).  I still like to paper craft but honestly I do not do it very often.  I always think in my head that I am going to set some time apart to make some cards or other things with ALL those cute papers that I have stashed away and still buy and then, well, you know how this story ends…

But last week I decided to actually bring one of my ideas to fruition because it was just too easy not to!  Plus I had totally scored a cute, coordinated paper stack at Marshall’s for only $2.99 and I knew it would be perfect for this project!

This is really all you need to get started:

And I had the awesome black frame left over from a garage sale, where I got three of them for $5 (in other words I practically stole them).

I simply cut a pink piece of paper the size of the insert in the frame (in this case 8 x 10), punched out the hearts and then stuck them on the paper with the photo splits.

Easy peasy, right?

And now this is part of my mantle during the “Season of Love”. 🙂

After Valentine’s Day I may just hang it somewhere else in the house because I like it so much and well, hearts are my favorite.

What have you made lately?
