Listen To Your Mother 2014!

A couple of years ago I got chills as I sat at my computer and watched my friend Stephanie read her Listen To Your Mother piece.  It was surreal to actually LISTEN to her speak her own words on stage since I had read them on her blog for such a long time.  And as I watched I thought in the back of my head, “I would like to do that some day.”

Well, some day is here!!

I am beyond thrilled to tell you all that my friend Jennifer Williams and I will be co-directing/producing a Listen To Your Mother show in Southeast Texas this coming May.  We are so excited to give a voice to motherhood in our area of the country.

And working with Jennifer is just the icing on the cake because she is one of my greatest friends, that I met through blogging.  Through this space.  And we have bonded over many things, motherhood included.

I personally think it is so important for us to continually share about our experiences as mothers and that this show in particular is such an amazing and inspiring way to do just that.  We all bring different things to the table as mothers, wives and even human beings.  Sharing our struggles, laughter, joys and sorrows are what bond us together and even help us to see things differently too.

And even though Jennifer and I are “newbies” we are more than ready to create a show that is about all aspects of motherhood and well, life.

Thank you to Ann Imig for believing in us and an extra shout out to Steph and Stacey for your encouragement and support.

And to Jennifer, let’s rock this girl.  (I AM SO EXCITED!!!!)

(See, we’re an awesome TEAM!) 😉
