Mat Kearney and Young Love

“You Can Count on Me” are some pretty powerful words when you think about it.  And I like to say them and hear them.

And I also hear the kids say “Hey Mama” A. LOT.

Perhaps that’s why these are two of my favorite songs on Mat Kearney’s new album, Young Love.

When I popped the CD into the car player the other day the whole family was riding together and it didn’t take long before the kids were jamming out to “Hey Mama” in the back seat.

Kids car-dancing is like one of the cutest things ever, right?!?

And then I was singing the catchy chorus before the first play of the song was over.  (we may have played it just a FEW more times since then…)

Tim drove off playing the album in his car this morning.  I think it’s safe to say the whole family likes it.

I really like all the songs on the album and “You Can Count on Me” totally surprised me when I first played it and I LOVE that!

I also really like “Sooner or Later and “She Got The Honey”.  But like I said, they’re all good.

My only complaint is that the album is too short.  I’d like more songs from Mat.  I really like his style, his rhythms and his voice.

And not to mention, we are totally BFFs… I mean HELLO! he touched my shoulder!! 😉

when I met him and Michelle Branch at Blissdom…

Now, go watch the video for “Hey Mama” – it’s so great!

So.. if you’re like me and want some new, great music that you can play in the car that is not VBS music (ahem) or the Wicked soundtrack for the 80 bazillionth time (double ahem) go get Mat’s new album.  I promise you’re gonna like is as much as we ALL do!

I was sent one copy of Mat Kearney’s new album from One2One Network to review here on the blog.  I received no other compensation and all opinions are my own.
