I Heart Faces – Hands

February 22, 2010 by Elaine

I Heart Faces is actually all about HANDS this week.

I took this photo last week while in Texas.

Baby K met her Great Grandparents (Tim’s Mother’s parents) for the first time.

I think Baby K liked her Great Grandmother’s ring.

I love the contrast of the hand that has weathered so much versus the one that has so much yet to experience…

Okay…no kidding. My grandmother died in October 2009 after living a long wonderful life. Her funeral wasn’t sad at all…we celebrated her many happy years, and we didn’t cry.

And for 5 months I haven’t cried about her death… until I saw this picture. Thanks a lot. Now I’m boohooing. It’s just heart warming to see this. It’s the most touching picture I’ve seen so far.

I mean really, no other picture has moved me to TEARS and to finally mourn. ugh.

Sorry for having a mental moment on your blog.

I was thinking about doing a picture like this of my son with MY great-grandmother (my son’s great-great grandmother). Next time we see her, I’m going to 🙂
