Halloween, Twenty Fourteen!

November 1, 2014 by Elaine

This Halloween included a photo shoot along with Mummy dogs and of course, Trick-or-Treating!

This mural is on a game/comic book store not too far from our house and the boys were especially “game” (ha! I crack myself up!) to take their picture in front of it.

After that we hung out in our driveway for a while, waiting for it to get dark and taking more photos.

Then we did some low-key candy hunting.  Not many lights were on in our ‘hood this year.  I heard it was homecoming for a few of the local high schools so that may have had something to do with it.  Also, K only made it one block before she was “too tired” and “SO thirsty!!”  So I took her back home to hand out candy with Daddy while the boys and I pressed on.

Needless to say there was plenty of candy at the end of the night.  Good thing most of it gets traded in for non-edible goodies! 🙂

Happy November! (I cannot believe it is already November…)

Fantastic pictures! You all look fabulous. And how perfect is that wall as a backdrop? So good. I love how Miss K is standing so sweetly as the boys are chopping and kicking away. HA! So sweet.

Trading in sweets for non-edible goodies! That is a great idea. I think I’ll do that. I thought I heard that one of my kids’ classes was collecting candy to send to soldiers overseas but now I can’t find the info on it. If we can’t “ship” our candy away maybe I’ll have them trade it in. Thanks for the idea!

    Happy November!

That mural is the BEST Halloween backdrop ever! And I would be freaking out if my kid was hanging from a branch like your little Spiderman…though it makes a pretty amazing photo, I must say.

Your Halloween was.better than mine. I bought a costume because I figured since I have to work, I’d might as well make the best of it. Then I found out our new.store manager won’t let us dress up. So I told my daughter after work, I’ll put my costume and we’ll watch horror movies all night
I even drank three Red Bulls to keep awake. When I got home, she was asleep in her costume! So I spent the evening watching movies with my mom.
