Come Join the Party!

Carolyn is hosting a little scrapboookin’ party over at her place (with prizes!!) and because that is my favorite non-computer related hobby, I thought I would join in. Mind you I don’t do as much as I should in that department (ahem) due to another time-consuming very computer related “hobby” that I have taken up, but I still love to scrap. As a matter of fact, I am just about done with the little book I did as a giveaway during the last bloggy giveaway carnival that includes 5 mini custom layouts by me. The winner, Christel, has asked for a little preview and what better time to show off some of my work? She requested pages that would hold school pictures for her daughter I am doing Kindergarten through 4th grade. Here is one of my favorite ones.

It has been said that scrapbooking is to our generation what quilting used to be to ladies who crafted before us. Instead of quilting bees we have crops. I have ALWAYS loved paper since I was a child and I used to like to make cards and just about paper anything. I can stand in the paper aisle at the craft store for quite a while and have been known to buy paper that may never get used but “it was just so cute!” Of course since I have boys I have had to skip over a lot of what is out there (hello pink and purple!) because, well, I wouldn’t do that to my little guys.

Here’s a link to one of the only other layouts I’ve ever posted but it’s one of my favorites. I do hope to be better about my scrappin’ in the future because I love it and I really enjoy looking back on my pages and books. It’s such a wonderful archive of our lives.

Thanks for stopping by! Now hop on over to Carolyn’s place (even if you aren’t a scrapper it’s still fun to see her blog!) and join the party if you want to. Have fun!
