A Whole Bunch of Holiday Cheer!

I think we could all use a little cheer this year.
I know, even for me, it’s a little harder after last week.
My heart is still overwrought with heaviness. It will be for a while.  And I know it is the same for most of us.
But I also have to smile and exude love and keep happy for my own little elves that grace my life (Thank GOD!) daily.
So, here I present our Santa photos through the years.

This year we got smiles from everyone, including K while ON his lap. It’s a Christmas miracle!  G is still hesitant but at least he’s in the pic and looks happy-ish, right? 😉  And yes, I did get a lot of mileage out of that red and blue Children’s Place sweater.  Thankyouverymuch.
And here is our Christmas card this year.  I really like the way it turned out.
Tim actually took the photo of Gavin & Katie on the bottom left.  Not bad, eh?

Now for a little video of some precious Kindergartener’s (including mine, smack dab in the middle in the red shirt) singing “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”.  They performed at two nursing homes in town, this morning.  It was the sweetest thing…

Lastly, I have shared this on twitter, FB and Instagram, but I want to put it here too because it is worth showing everyone.
The sweet, amazing lady up in that video, directing her class and two others in their singing, also wrote this to the parents of her students.

We are so blessed that she is my son’s teacher.  And her letter made me cry and smile, all at the same time.
She has renewed my faith in our world.
God Bless her.
And Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays all around!

p.s. I cannot believe this post is absent of some of my other favorite “cheer” which is Christmas treats but if you want, you can check out my Peppermint Bark recipe or recipe for “Puppy Chow” – two of my very favorite holiday yummies.
