You Capture – Summer

August 5, 2010 by Elaine

We haven’t done anything very “Summery” this week.

You know, unless you count hunkering down next to the A/C unit.

Oh my, the HEAT!!

Even the bugs are coming in to the house for a reprieve. (Note to BUGS: seriously, STAY OUT. You’re freakin’ out the boy children and the baby girl wants to eat you. ick.)

We did however take a quick trip to the local outdoor produce market and picked up a few of these…

And after only a few minutes of ‘carting’ the kids around, the toddler looked like this…

(unfortunately he inherited the ‘sweat’ gene from his father…)

Anywho, that’s all I got this week.

p.s. I did let the boys play in the sprinkler for a bit after dinner the other night but after each of them had about a dozen mosquito bites I decided it was time to come it. So yeah, that lasted like FIVE minutes. I’m ready for FALL

no fall yet, I’m not ready! Funny how we hate the heat when it arrives and we hate the cold when it arrives too..A nice midpoint all year would be great!!

Yummmy! The peaches around here haven’t been very great yet. 🙁 And I used to live in Baton Rouge, so I totally feel you on the heat front. Don’t know how you do it. Stay cool!

Great shots. Mosquitos are probably one of the things I most dislike about summer. Miserable things. 🙂

I know that sweat gene. My 2nd son has it. He sweats all the time. Crazy how much!
    Love the fruit.

I really like your ‘summer’ shots. The peaches are SO summer and the sweaty little head says it all. Nice job!

Hot and mosquitoes? No fair. Here the skeeters hide in the heat of the day, those Lousiana ones must be more evil.

    Stay cool!
