Weekly Weigh In – Week 4

January 27, 2010 by Elaine

Well, I stayed the same this week – still at

173.6

And you know, I’m okay with it for a few reasons:

1) I didn’t GAIN weight
2) I stopped pumping last week so “the girls” kinda feel like boulders right now.
3) I didn’t eat that well last week so…

I call it a wash.

I did exercise quite a bit so that may have helped. I did all three regular workouts, several walks in the neighborhood and even some yard work. So, I’m good. I hope to see a loss next week though.

p.s. I’m thinking of giving up CHOCOLATE for Lent which starts in three weeks. Think I can do it?? I don’t know….

    Not gaining rocks!!

I wouldn’t know from first-hand knowlege since I can’t seem to get my “Holiday” (that’s Labor Day to Valentine’s, right?) weight off, but you’re doing great girl. The exercise counts a lot – for your body and for your mind.

Give up chocolate?! How about smoking? So much easier.

Exercise is good for you anyway, regardless of weight loss. Keep up the good work Elaine!

just time to refocus and get back on track with your eating.

as far as giving up chocolate – you can totally do it. isn’t that the point of lent? so that we understand what a sacrifice was made for us?

Keep up the exercising and it is hard when you stop nursing/pumping for your body to get used to it and I can imagine how you feel this week. Giving up chocolate would be hard but it’s not for that long. You can do it.

    Ouch! I hate breast boulders.

You can totally give up chocolate! I know it!

First of all…any one that can put their weight on their blog…ROCKS!
Second, no weight gain is always great.
Thirdly, you worked out more than I have in months…okay years.
Fourthly, if you give up chocolate…I might give up Diet Coke. And Diet Mountain Dew. And Diet Pepsi. Deal?

Elaine, you are doing an amazing job. Not gaining is a feat in and of itself. I’ve been struggling lately, too, and I didn’t just have a baby!!!!

Holding steady is GREAT!!! Working out is even better…I’m not SO concerned about my weight, but I want to be in better shape!

slow and steady is always best…that way it’s not just water weight! You’re doing fantastic! A little plateau this week will give big rewards next week! Keep at it!

I am with Cheryl, slow and steady is the way to go. Keep it up!

And yes, can live without chocolate. I have pretty much given it up on account of the increased lactose intolerance after that %$#$^&##@@ elimination diet I did. Not that I am happy about it but I am still alive.

That probably doesn’t help, does it?

    GO ELAINE!

Maintaining is a good thing…especially with the feeding change.

You are doing great…go for the chocolate challenge! All you can do is try!
