Sometimes life hands you apples…

September 15, 2011 by Elaine

I was out and about on my own yesterday for a little while.  It was nice.

I had in mind the assignment for You Capture this week and specifically planned a trip to the local outdoor fruit and vegetable market just to take pictures of apples.

I took my good camera and was going to do my best NOT to be embarrassed while I took pictures of fruit.

I turned on my camera as I slyly made my way over to the apples (thankfully they are on one end of the market and little out of the way…) when my camera screen spoke to me and said…

“No SD card inserted”

Wel, SH*#%$!

Of course, it stayed in my laptop, at home.

So, like any good blogger, I made do with my Apple iPhone.  And looked even sillier taking pictures of apples, WITH my phone.

And I thought it was pretty cool that G’s “homework” this week was about apples…

Ugh! I hate it when I forget the memory card. It must be true that the best camera is the one you have, because these turned out great! Especially since you took them with an Apple. Hee-hee!

It’s not always the tool, it’s the person wielding the tool. You’re clearly an awesome photographer with a good eye! Great shots.

    hello-
you left me a comment on the pb, bacon cookies? do you have to refridgeate ? yes you should, if you don’t then the cookies will come out really thin. Of course if this is ok with you then by all means. If you don’t want to wait to chill them then put the batter in a pan and bake. How long to bake? I don’t know maybe a couple minutes more?

I love a really fresh apple. Honey crisps are my favorite. I just wish they weren’t so darned expensive.
