Ruby Leon Jewelry Giveaway

March 17, 2014 by Elaine

Back in Texas, when I became a non-working mother of two little ones, I joined the local chapter of The Moms Club.  There I made many great friends who were moms of little ones and at home, just like me.  We met for play dates at the park or at each other’s houses.  We talked about poop and teeth coming in and where to send the kids to school once they were old enough.  We had MNOs that included margaritas or coffee or playing card games and laughing our faces off.

I was very sad to leave this group of mothers and friends when we moved to Louisiana.  But of course, thanks to good ole Facebook I can stay in touch with most of them. There are several wonderful women in the group who became good friends and Ruby is one of them.

Ruby started her own jewelry business, Ruby Leon Jewelry, in 2007 and has been creating beautiful hand-crafted pieces since then.  She talks about starting her business by saying, “I have always loved jewelry, ever since I can remember. In high school I used to make beaded necklaces and bracelets just so I could have my own jewelry. Anytime I would see items I liked from the mall I always imagined how I would have made it a little different. So, I thought, why not start making my own?”

Since the business began it has evolved into her doing a lot of custom pieces. Hand stamping and working with metals, copper, brass and silver is really a lot of fun for her and she LOVES making Custom jewelry, because of the uniqueness of each piece.  Special dates, names, pictures and charms that really hold a personal meaning to someone and their loved ones also means a lot to Ruby.

RubyLeon2

She believes that everyone should own at least one custom piece – for that special day, vacation, event or in memory of a loved one.  And that giving custom jewelry as a gift is so special as well because it lets that person know how much thought went into making them happy.

And speaking of “Happy”, Ruby is generously offering one lucky Miss Elaine-ous Life reader a custom bracelet such as the ones pictured below!   The winner will be able to choose either an inspirational message or their children’s names for a bracelet of their very own!  I have a couple of bracelets like this already and I love wearing them grouped with other bracelets as well as alone.  One of her bracelets would also make a fabulous Mother’s Day gift!  Ruby puts so much love into her pieces, they would be great for just about anyone! 🙂   You can easily enter the giveaway below…
