A Reluctant Princess

September 2, 2011 by Elaine

When Baby K was actually a baby one of my friends was prepping for a big garage sale and let some of us come in for her “pre-sale”.  I scored several princess costumes and accessories and some pieces were a bit mis-matched.  I didn’t care.  I bought quite a few Disney-themed costumes and other stuff for less than ten bucks.

Most of them still don’t fit her but I did pull out a skirt and a Snow White blouse the other day.

Do I have to wear this Mom?

I think I need shoes Daddy!!

She put them on but she wasn’t ALL that jazzed about wearing them for too long.  She’s probably just not there yet.  And I’m totally cool with that. I think she’s really cute in anything she wears so, you know, whatevs.

Can the princess watch Elmo now?

BUT. The cutest part was when she walked up to Tim in his office at the house (he had NO IDEA what she was wearing and his back was to her) and said, “I pwincess, Daddy!!”

And then he was a puddle on the floor.

It was awesome.

Yes, she was made to quit “eating” the beads right after Mommy took this picture…

so cute!….we are totally to the dress up phase at our house….Kate can’t leave the house without at least one necklace, a couple of bracelets, her sunglasses, and usually a tiara….she also is a big fan of the tutu….it won’t be long before “K” is all about it too!

    so fun!

“And then he was a puddle on the floor” — Ohhhh, how I love that. Too flippin’ cute. It’s kind of funny how much dads really don’t stand a chance when it comes to daughters.
