Not Me Monday, 5th Edition

February 16, 2009 by Elaine

It’s time for another edition of “Not Me” Monday, hosted by the multi-talented, multi-tasker, mother of four, Mckmama!

I did NOT panic a few times realizing that the hubs and I had NO dinner reservations for Saturday, after our museum outing. I did NOT thank our lucky stars when were able to walk into a good restaurant and get a seat right away! Whew!

I definitely did NOT think it was all that cute that Little G learned to say the word “meh-cine” (medicine) after being on the “pink stuff” this week for his ear infection. And I did NOT think it was even cuter that he started saying “choc-ate!” after seeing the chocolates Tim got me for Valentine’s day. (no doubt he’s mine for sure.)

I absolutely NO WAY let The B Man take a tinkle in the woods by the park where we were playing with our playgroup since there was no other bathroom in close proximity. I would NEVER do such a thing. (Another good reason to have boys…)

I did NOT forget to bring Valentine’s for the other kids to one of the parties we went to last week, thus feeling like a complete “heel.” : ( Thankfully our friends are VERY understanding… NOT that there would be anything to be understanding about…

I still did NOT, not call a plumber about the bathroom (as mentioned last week).

I did NOT run outside in my p.j.s just to see if I could get a picture of this pretty bird up in the tree, warbling away. That would be so silly!

I most definitely did NOT pick the “good stuff” out of Little G’s Valentine candy to eat at a later date myself. That would be just wrong. Or would it?

That’s all I DIDN’T do this week. How ’bout you?

Go on over to Mckmama’s to see more and to share your own “Not Me’s!”

    I’m the first, I’m the first-wahoo!!!!

I did NOT let Sophie squat and pee on the side of the road between Austin and Houston when she was three years old. I did NOT show her the proper way for a lady to avoid peeing on her own shoes.

The picture of the Cardinal is beautiful! I have a special connection with the Cardinals! They were my Mom’s favorite bird (which she was terrified of birds except those) and ever since she passed when i was 15 it seems that a Cardinal always appears when i am upset or depressed. I would like to think my Mom sends them to cheer me up and let me know it is all ok.

Congrats on being able to get a table right away. My hubby works at Chili’s and they were jam packed on a 2 1/2 hour wait.

I steal all my kids candy. Wait, did I just admit that? Well, I am just trying to keep them healthy you know.
    Have a great week!

WTH!! 2 boys refuse to pee standing!?! My toilet bowl thanks them, but it would come in real handy if they agreed to do it now and again.

    Pretty bird.

I did not fight with Mr. Husband over Alexis’ Twix. Nope.

Of course I took the candy. And, the best thing about boys is the go behind the bush ability.

    February 16, 2009 at 7:33 pm

Took some of your favorites? I did not take it all..or wait, maybe I did…or some of it!

Peeing the the bushes…definitely a boy thing.

You’re going to regret letting B pee outside for a loooong time. I let Nadia do it once probably 6 months ago, and it STILL haunts me! Oh wait, but since that did NOT happen, you have nothing to worry about.

Oh, and I totally did NOT pick the good stuff out of N’s candy either…Nope, not me!

    Love your list!

Chocolate is a very important word too!

LOL – I’m pretty sure my parents took all of my best candy, so maybe yours did too. It’s pay back time! 🙂

    Hee! Great list!

I did NOT eat chocolate chip cookies for breakfast today.

LOVE peeing behind the bush thing – excellent.

And the stealing candy thing, one of the few silver linings to a child having a peanut allergy – all the chocolate is Mamas! You know, what I wouldn’t do to protect my boys? Mom. of. the. year.

    February 16, 2009 at 11:54 pm

Good job on NOT doing any of that!

I love your Not Me’s! I did NOT give up potty training McClaine… otherwise I would NOT let him pee outside either!

i am pretty sure our number one benefit of being our babies mama is first pick of all good candy 🙂

My 2 yr. old was just singing her version of Happy Birthday. It was so adorable.

I just love when little ones start talking.

    These were great, Elaine! 🙂
