It’s a Small (Blog) World

January 21, 2008 by Elaine

So, I am trying to get my blog out there more, to gain readership, etc. and I have been adding blogrolls to my sidebar and trying to become more connected in the blogosphere. Little did I know that someone was helping me do that, without me even knowing it. Let me explain.

Recently I added Sitemeter to the blog and this can tell me who is coming to visit and how they got here. It’s actually very interesting information but it’s also a reminder that people are watching me too! : )

Anyway, when I checked on it the other day it said that people were getting here through a blog by Olive Kids. Well, this is the company who made the bedding that is on Ben’s bed. Turns out they have had a link to this post for most of last year. Of course now I just want to know where my check is for adverstising for them. It has yet to come in the mail… hmmm….guess I shouldn’t hold my breath!

Just wait until google starts sending you visitors from, shall we say, “Interesting search queries”.

That always freaks me out just a bit! 🙂

I love the queries. I’ve started cataloging them in hopes of getting a good blog post eventually.

Thanks for stopping by! I’m having fun going through your site, too. 🙂
