InnoTab 3 Plus Learning Tablet {Review & GIVEAWAY}

October 23, 2014 by Elaine

There are a few (AHEM) devices around our house.  There is one in particular that  I bought for myself for my birthday a couple of years ago and it is this neat, little device that I can read on, write on and do a bunch of other things with.  Unfortunately my children like to commandeer it on a regular basis, to play games and other sorts of electronic shenanigans. So, since they seem to kind of like really love that sort of thing I figured they would also like the InnoTab 3 learning tablet from V-Tech.

You’ll never guess that I was right.

This cool, super kid-friendly device has been a great tool to get them off of my device and is perfect for ages 3-9!

Innotab 3S

Not only does it have educational games and apps but it also has a handy 180 degree rotating camera that my picture-taking kids have so much fun using!  (Wonder where they got that trait from…)  The camera manually turns to take a “selfie” or you can turn it to face whatever you are photographing. So handy!

Plus this tablet also takes videos!  Do you have kids who LOOOOVE to create their own mini movies? I do!  They like to re-enact superhero scenarios and make their own version of The Lego Movie, a lot.  It takes great little videos which they have a blast watching back over and over again.

Other great features of the InnoTab 3s Plus include:

  • A rechargeable power pack so that you do not have to keep buying batteries for it.  This in itself is worth the money!
  • Kid-safe Wifi with parent approved websites.
  • Access to more than 800 educator-endorsed, age and stage appropriate cartridges, software and apps that can be purchased and downloaded from VTech’s Learning Lodge app store.
  • Ability to import and listen to their favorite music on the MP3 player
  • A tablet-to-mobile communication app that lets kids communicate in real time and exchange voice and text messages, photos, drawings and fun stickers with their parents’ smartphones.

So far the favorite apps here include the art studio and the games.  I am hoping the e-reader will soon become a favorite as well as we add more books.
