If you ask me, 40 is the new 25. But no one asked me so…

July 18, 2012 by Elaine

We have a really good friend named Chandler.  You know, like from the show Friends.

Funny thing…  He’s THAT good of a friend of ours.  And he is just as easy to pick on. 😉

Happy 40th (again) Chandler, we love ya!  And I won’t call you an old man because well, 40 is just around the corner for a few people I know me and Tim too so I say, “Happy Birthday young man!!!”
Hope we’re still partying with you when you are twice this age!

(pics from his party last Saturday while still in TX)

The cake was SO yummy! And so were the Pop Rocks. 🙂
That cane has a pill bottle attached.  BEST. IDEA. EVER. Pinterest-worthy even, dontcha think? ;p

The “old man” and his beautiful party-planner wife and one of my BFFs
Three “old” friends. hee hee.

Yummy spiked punch!
He’s gotta wear shades!
See, even old guys can still get the ladies!

And no worries, the smoke alarm did NOT go off on the restaurant once all the birthday candles were lit. 😀

Happy birthday to your friend. Looks like he had a great party. Those canes are pretty clever. I saw a handmade one similar to it that a friend from the campground had. I’ve also seen them sold at Ben Franklin. That Pop Rocks bucket is pretty neat.

Looks like a fun day. I can’t see myself having that much fun on my 40th birthday, but that’s because I intend to be 29 forever. So, there’s that.

Oh wow. That’s a lot of candles! Ha.

I love people with a great sense of humor. It makes the friendship so much better.

When I was 13 I planned a surprise 40th Birthday party for my mom. It was awesome and complete with tons and tons of gag gifts and I made her eat baby food.

Huh, maybe I should plan another 40th party for someone.
