I try to take my parenting one day at a time. I try not to think about the future too much. Obviously there are things to prepare and be ready for (birthday parties, school starting, etc.) but since having a daughter I have thought about what it would be like to help plan and witness K’s wedding some day. But then I think, “who knows, she may not even GET married!” OR, worse yet, let me help plan.
Egads.
No matter, I’m sure she’ll have many other opportunities to look gorgeous and radiant even if she decides not to walk down the aisle.
And surely there are other reasons (besides being a bride) to wear a gorgeous white gown, right (ahem, Pippa)?
Either way, on Saturday she simply wore a smocked dress in pastel pink while attending her very first wedding. She was one of the youngest guests there but I’m guessing she may have enjoyed the wedding cake the most…
p.s. “Baby” K is now 19 months old as of yesterday. Stop the madness.

Grace and I watch “Say Yes To The Dress” sometimes. God help me, she loves all the dresses. So fun! I admit I have thought about her own wedding day too. I quickly stop myself because I definitely don’t want to think that far ahead.
