And the Mouse Party… A Success!

April 6, 2009 by Elaine

So I know many of you are wondering what it takes to pull off a “mouse” party. Not too long ago, I was in the same boat. But now that I am on the other side, I have to say, it was a great theme for my mouse-obsessed boy and I had a great time with it. And the most important part? He loved everything and had a wonderful time with his friends and family.

There was bouncing…

We played some “Pin the Tail on the Mouse”…

I made these cute little guys…
Aren’t they so fun? Thanks to Mom of 3 Crazy Kids for sending me the link to the idea. They were a HUGE hit! Here’s the link for those of you who might want to make them yourself.

A friend of mine from my Mom’s club made this darling cake…
Precious and DEE-licious and it was almost gone! (darnit…) Oh and the birthday boy LOVED it!

Little G was all about trying to devour a fondant mouse and was quite unhappy with me when I took it away form him.
And here is one of the invitations and one of the treat bags that I made (Tim did help with the treat bags… thanks hon!)

I think I made my little dude’s party special and I’m pretty sure he had a good time. I “stressed” a little over the details but all in all I’m glad he didn’t choose some mainstream, run-of-the-mill kind of theme. I had fun coming up with things myself and I can certainly say it was original, that’s for sure! Happy Birthday again to my sweet boy!

    Hi Elaine

Now that is one perfect mouse party. Those strawberry mice are adorable and that cake is awesome. You did a fantastic job and the best bit is, that if you can pull of a mouse party then there is NOTHING you can’t do!!

The leaning Tower of Cupcake mad me laugh – not the cake itself, just how you named it the leaning tower of cupcake. It is one impressive cake.

I hope you are keeping well, although I imagine you must be exhausted after planning and hosting the party. I hope that this week you are able to take have some time to relax.

    Lots of love and hugs
    Elise
