I’m not surprised that Elaine has held on to a loyal audience through 500 posts.
Come to think of it, I’m quite certain we all love Elaine for the same reason.
Simply put, Elaine reminds us of our BFF from high school, or at the very least one of our really close friends. In fact, I can only think of two reasons why Lainey wouldn’t remind you of your high school BFF,
1. You didn’t have any friends in high school.
or
2. You didn’t have any friends in high school.
She would fit right in to any one of my high school memories. Like when I used to go to The Peach Pit after school and talk the afternoon away with my girls,
Um yeah, so I never claimed to be a very good BFF but we all know Elaine is, Happy 500th post Lainey… and if you still have my pink Swatch watch, GIVE IT BACK!
Thanks to Three Boys 1 Mommy for making my 500th post so… uh… special. ; ) Oh and p.s. David and I never well, “got together…” and soda IS bad for you…

Happy 500th Post!! And for the record, I love that you try to keep us in check about the soda drinking. It is evil, evil, EVIL!! I need all positive influences I can find. I fell off the wagon again this weekend when my husband brought home a couple two liters of Zero. I’m so weak.
