10 (okay i mean 13) Photos From 2010 – You Capture

January 5, 2011 by Elaine

Here are some of my very favorite photographs that I took last year. I had a hard time narrowing it down so I went with a “baker’s dozen” worth of pics instead of 10. I hope y’all don’t mind.

And SO MUCH thanks to Beth for inspiring me to take LOTS of pics last year with her weekly You Capture topics. Keep ’em comin’ my friend! 🙂

K’s first trip to Grandma and Grandpa’s house in February

some tiny “weed” flowers – I have this one framed in my living room

Beautiful Baby K at 6 months – 4/1/2010
my silly, blue-eyed boy in May
pretty farm not too far from us where we picked fresh peaches

Surely one of my favorite photos of the year and the winning shot that won me a Tassimo drink maker from Dumb Mom in her End of Summer Photo Contest!

I just love that you can see all 30 of their toes in this one!

My Grandfather’s truck that my Mom now owns. Taken in July.

I took A LOT of photos of this butterfly before I got this one…

A very old bookstore across the street from our hotel in New Orleans – October

My sweet boys and their EXACT personalities.

Oh, man! I love your pictures. I love seeing those faces again (and their piggies!) And I’m stealing your baker’s dozen because I originally grabbed over 20 but couldn’t go that far over the requested 10.

I have no idea how you managed to narrow it down to 13 given how many great pics you had this year!

Great photos! I also found it hard to narrow down photos from an entire year. I love your blog title – very similar to mine with the play on our names.

Beautiful year of photos! I love the weed shot and I know just how tiny those flowers are in real life. The truck shot is stunning and I love the New Orleans doorway shot too.

Okay, your favorites just show what a great photographer you are. Your end of summer shot was so impressive to me that it seems like just yesterday that I saw it and voted for it. I love all the pics that include either or both of your boys but that silly, blue-eyed boy picture is stunning. Love the truck, the butterfly, K, and the weed flowers. I guess this means I love them all because I do. Awesome year in review!

Those are AWESOME shots. I had such a hard time narrowing it down too. I started out with 21 and then had to narrow it from there. I still feel like going back and adding some of my other favs back in. Hmmm. Maybe I will. 😉

I love that last one too!

Agree with Nancy—that contest was yours hands down w/ that one pic of the boys.

These are all phenomenal, Elaine. I’ve said it before, but you have an incredible eye. I’m blown away. Needless to say the one of the shop in NOLA is gorgeous, too.

I love these! Especially the door in NOLA and the one of the red truck!

You sure are a fab photographer lately!

They are all so fab, but how the heck did you pick just 13?! I mean seriously…there’s no way I could do it, and I know your files are just as overflowing with gems as mine are! Your kids are precious, you’re surrounded with beautty, and you catpure it all so well.

I love all of these. I’m not even sure I can pick a favorite.

And I LOVE the new site. This is the first time I’ve seen it. It looks great.
