You know how sometimes you just have one of THOSE weeks?

Well, this has been one of THOSE weeks.

Four out of five of us sick.  Ups and downs galore.  Missed school.  Feeling like crap, feeling okay. Eating take out and convenience foods. No exercise.

I need a REBOOT. Seriously.

So, I’m just gonna post some photos.  Photos are good.

Follow me on Instagram (pretty, Please)

K watching brother in his gymnastics class.  She’s wearing her dance leotard.  She starts dance this Wednesday.  I’m a tad bit excited.  I think she is too.

We had Ripley, R.I.P. Ripley.  He died after only two weeks.  This is our new hamster, Cinnamon Cupcake, a.k.a. “C.C”, “Couples”, “Cuppy”, “Cupster”.  We’re big on nicknames around here.
K was actually swatting mosquitoes away, I think.  But it kinda looks like she’s
doing The Robot, yes?
 And then we were sick…
Waiting (and waiting…) at the doctor
A little outing to the neighborhood Farmer’s Market on Saturday…
(I HAD to get out of the house for a bit!!)
…where apparently winter hats are needed in August.
The upside of that awesome barn.  The FM is held on the old horse farm that used to belong to the local university (University of Louisiana at Lafayette).
And it is RED (school color) but fading fast…
There are a lot of great vendors and even Cajun music.
We found some friends there and hung out for a bit.
At the height of my sickness I made this skirt for K on Sunday.  I had bought the fabric back in June and just let it sit, until now.  At least I made myself useful.

Tim spent the weekend reading the sixth Harry Potter book to B.  They are really bonding over the story, as it culminates to the end and I think that is pretty cool.  Tim is an HP geek and it is so fun to watch him share his passion with our oldest.   Parenting is pretty awesome sometimes… 😉

I love, love, love this photo

Here’s hoping the “sickies” are gone (we are all on antibiotics except G!) and that the rest of the week is healthy.  Like I said, K starts dance AND her first day of pre-school is Wednesday.  Also, Tim and I have somewhere to be this coming weekend and I am excited and ready to feel better!

I would go with the robot dance for sure, love the cape!
That hat in August reminds me when my little one wore earmuffs during the summer for a time.
That barn pic needs to be in barn calendar. #barnporn
    That skirt is darn cute!
That last pic is my fave too.

Hope everyone is feeling better! Your pictures are awesome! I love the winter hat in August…cracks me up. There’s plenty of days in the summer where I just want to put a hat on and cover my head!

What a great post, even through recovering from the sicks. The photo of your daughter peering into the gymnastics class… gorgeous. You really captured her at her “is it my turn yet?” moment.

No fun being sick – we are on round 2 here this week. But so far it is just a cold and I have my fingers crossed that is all it is and will be gone soon.
Hope you all see healthier days soon! And the winter hat is priceless! 🙂

My youngest was sick over the weekend. She was well enough for school today and but not well enough for the beach or any holiday types of things – so we all rallied inside with her – out of necessity! The cabin fever was so high in here that I think they were all happy to see the school bus this morning! Hope all 4 of you get better soon! I am sending healthy vibes your way!

Even through the sickies, parenting is awesome.
Especially when you have a kick ass cape.
Missed you and I’m so sorry that you’ve all been sick. Not a fun way to leave the summer. Poop

Hope you’re all feeling better. Great photos. I have never read Harry Potter, but when my littles are old enough, I plan to read it to them.

Sent you a follow request on Instagram.

I want a barn like that. It would look so great in my backyard! And I would really like the farmer’s market to go along with it. Our garden yeild was pitiful this year.

    Happy wishes for healthy bodies!

I’m glad you guys are feeling better, and I want a farmer’s market like that. Ours is nowhere near as interesting.

    Poor little hamster!

And, sick? Ugh, totally get it. E and I were sick last week or two weeks ago, I don’t remember. I couldn’t take anything which make it that much more icky.

And, yes, winter hats in summer. Because? Why not!

Hope you all are on the mend.
