I ask you... and some photos.

Do you ever read the comments on other people's blog posts and think, "Ah man, I wish I'd said that" or "woah, that comment was so perfect!"??

I do.

Sometimes.

But then I know I also have my own words and it's okay to say something similar too, especially if I really mean it and want to say it.

Just something to ponder while you look at just a few of the many photos I took of this oh-so-fun and beautiful family of four I had the pleasure to capture with my camera.

Later Taters!

  1. Great pictures!

I feel like I'm a horrible commenter. I say what I mean, but sometimes I think I'm too short or whatever. I'm always criticizing myself.

  2. Those pictures are gorgeous!

I feel the same way. Most of the time, I'll comment anyway, with something short or similar so the blogger knows I read. But if there are dozens (or hundreds!) of comments and I feel like I don't have anything new to add, I won't comment.

  3. Too cute!

Wait, was that not enough? Should I have said more? Crap, now you will never want another comment from me. Maybe I should have gone on and one about how beautiful the family is and how great you as the photographer is.....

    :)

  5. Great photos, I Love that last one.
I try not to read comments because I don't want to know how crappy my comment was and compare it to those awesome comments.
Some comments i leave to much and some probably not enough. I just look at it as someone took the time to look at my blog and comment any comment is good and hope others think that as well :).

  7. Yes, I often think - man, I wish were more clever so I would have thought of that - ha! What a cute family. I'm glad you're having fun taking pictures of people you're not related to! :)

  8. Yes, I totally do that! I used to take a lot of time composing my comments...and now, ha! Not so much...

I always just like to know someone has actually stopped by so I am trying to be less picky about what I say :)

    Great photos!

  9. Beautiful photos!

And yes, I've felt this way so many times. Like I have to be unique with my comment or else run the risk of sounding repetitive, or like I copied from another person. I've stopped reading other comments before posting my own for just that reason! I'm critical enough of what I post on my own blog... ;)

  10. See and now, I can't say anything about the photos and how great they are because, well, so did everybody else:)

  11. Beautiful pics.

And yes that happens to me all the time. So then I sit in front of the computer for another 15 mintues trying to think of something equally as funny or empathetic or clever to say! it is exhausting!

  12. you take beautiful pictures!! They look great. And I relate to what you said about the comments. But like you said...sometimes even if it's a duplicate of what someone else said it still is worth saying if you mean it!

  13. Lovely photos, you!

And yes, of course, yes - but then I feel a kismet-y connection like, same brain! Yay!

  15. Gorgeous family, and great photography!

I love reading awesome comments, and I don't feel bad if mine come across as goofy. I would like to beat Alison to commenting on at least one blog one day though. ;)

  17. I read the other comments after I post, most of the time! So I do end up repeating others a lot.

We're doing family photos in a week. I am still trying to decide what we are wearing. There are 8 of us to coordinate! I don't really want us to do the same color shirt thing. I think the boys will wear different color polos. So now have to figure out girls without being too boring or too busy.

    You take great photos Elaine.
