Everybody Loves a Mardi Gras Parade

Mardi Gras is over and tomorrow Lent begins (or today, depending on when you read this...)

The festivities of the last week and a half produced more beads than our household could handle so we already have a bag full, ready to be donated.

Our last parade was a warm one since we spent it in 80-degree weather and surrounded by friends.

Between floats passing, The B Man was sprinkling himself with water from my water bottle while at the same time sweat dripped down my back.

You just never know what you're gonna get weather-wise.

Here's a slew of pics to show you what a good time we had.

Hope you had a little indulgence on this Mardi Gras 2012!

  8. I am a Texas girl through and through. I'm talking so twangy you probably can't understand me if I talk too fast.

    BUT.

I have always said if there was any other place I'd live...hands down, Louisiana. There is nothing I don't love about that state.

I've been all over it and visited so many cities there and even have relatives scattered through out.

And seeing your pictures make me homesick for a place I've never lived. And I know, that makes no sense at all.

  9. I'm envious of your hot weather. Here in the tundra, it's about 15 degrees. I really need to move. :)

  11. Looks like they had lots of fun. We didn't do anything here-- but definitely more of a down south thing.
