Yes they do love the boxes most at that age and they do outgrow it. Is that a good thing? Boxes are cheap, shop at a box store and save yourself some money while you still can. Teeheehee.
So true. Mia entertained herself with an empty pasta box the other day for nearly 30 minutes while I cooked dinner. Why do we bother with all the research and spending?
Boxes are the next best thing to ice cream around our house.
The Little Imp's Christmas pressies held her attention for maybe 5 minutes before she was tearing into the boxes and building new dolly beds with them or hiding in them.
She learned pretty quickly though that if she left the boxes alone for too long, the cats invaded and tried to claim them as their own! Talk about a territory war!

ReplyDeleteThere's nothing quite like boys and their boxes, lol. Mine are the exact same way. It's so fun to watch!!
ReplyDeleteHa, isn't that the TRUTH! I think they should add this tid-bit in the 'WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOUR EXPECTING' book. Skip the toys, go for the box.
ReplyDeleteI must say the little guy in diapers is just SO STINKING CUTE Elaine!
but there are so many possibilities with a box!
ReplyDeleteI hate that about boys. Mine still plays with a fridge box he got 2 years ago. What's the fun in that?
ReplyDeleteI believe that's the law -- it might even be a commandment.
